About Quintana Roo
The Original Triathlon Brand.
Founded in 1987 in Quintana Roo, Mexico, QR didn’t enter triathlon — it built it. When Dan Empfield engineered the first bicycle designed specifically for the demands of multisport — a steeper seat tube angle, an aero position, geometry tuned around the run — the “tri bike” as we know it didn’t exist. He invented the category.
That same engineering philosophy — performance built around the actual demands of the sport, not the catalog — is what drives the QR swim line today. Wetsuits and swimskins designed for race day. Materials tested by elite triathletes. Construction tuned for the start chute, not the photoshoot.
Now headquartered in Tennessee, QR remains what it has always been: a brand built by triathletes, for triathletes.
Wetsuits
Race-Day Buoyancy.
Two wetsuits, engineered for different swimmers. The HYDROsix2 for those who want every gain Yamamoto can offer. The HYDROfive2 for value-conscious racers who don’t want to compromise on race-day fit.
Swimskins
For Wetsuit-Illegal Days.
When the water is too warm for wetsuits, the HYDROspeed gives you compression, hydrophobic shedding, and a head start on T1.
Essentials
Swim Accessories.
The small stuff that adds up — pool to open water, training to race day.
Flagship Wetsuit
The HYDROsix2.
Premium Yamamoto neoprene from collar to ankle. Hydrodynamic surface coating to shed water as you stroke. Targeted buoyancy panels to elevate your hips into a more efficient swim position.
Every panel, every seam, every flex point engineered for race day. The HYDROsix2 is QR’s answer for athletes who want every second the rules will allow.
