ROKA R1 Goggle in Cobalt Mirror

The R1 Goggle

The Original Game-Changer.

The goggle that redefined open water swimming. Patented RAPIDSIGHT™ lens angle. SPCTRM™ optics. Worn at the front of the Kona pro field for over a decade.

THIS GOGGLE IS DESIGNED FOR: Maximum forward visibility in open water—so you can sight with less head lift, hold better body position, and swim straighter with less effort. It also helps you find—and follow—the feet in front of you more easily.

The Challenge

Fast and straight.

Performance in open water = swimming fast + swimming straight.

The challenge: swimming fast requires optimal form and efficiency. Swimming straight requires sighting—the equivalent of hitting the brakes. Lift your head, lose your hips, lose your line.

The R1 was built to solve that. Instead of a flat, forward-facing lens that looks straight down in the water, the R1 features a patented 11° tilt that lets you see in the direction you’re moving—for straighter, faster swimming.

SPCTRM Performance Optics

RAPIDSIGHT™ Patented Internationally

A New Angle in Performance.

Reduced architecture along the top frame of the goggle accommodates a retroscopic lens angle, radically opening the forward field of view.

01

Patented Lens Angle

11° retroscopic tilt aligns the lens with the direction you’re moving, not where you’re staring at the pool bottom.

02

SPCTRM™ Optics

A purpose-built lens collection that leverages science and experience to offer the optimal tint for every condition—from predawn darkness to bright sun.

03

Hydrodynamic Form

Smaller form factor for improved hydrodynamics. Innovative construction enhances comfort without sacrificing the sleek profile.

04

TPR Gaskets

Ultra-soft but protective hypoallergenic TPR gaskets. No latex. No PVC. Comfort for the long haul.

05

Semi-Rigid Unibody Nosebridge

Firmer construction keeps the goggle securely in place—a single integrated bridge that won’t fail mid-swim.

06

Full UV Protection

Blocks 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light up to 380nm. Glare reduction and eye protection in every variant.

ROKA MULTISPORT

Why we carry ROKA

Gear we'd race in ourselves.

ROKA built its name on triathlon wetsuits worn at the front of the Kona pro field, and they've applied that same engineering-first approach to swim and transition gear. We carry the full ROKA goggle line and the T1X Transition Pack because they pass the test we apply to everything in the Slowtwitch Collective: would we use it ourselves on race day? With ROKA, the answer's been yes for a long time.
