The Original Bike Fit Workshop.
Three days in Lincoln, Nebraska learning the dynamic fit method Slowtwitch developed in 2002, the system most modern fit schools trace back to. The terms stack and reach were named here. The methodology is validated by specialists from Retül, Serotta, Trek, Specialized, GURU and Shimano, many of whom have attended these workshops themselves.
We welcome bike shop professionals, fitters, coaches, manufacturers, physical therapists and physiotherapists, and anyone serious about fitting athletes to bicycles. You leave with the knowledge, skill and confidence to execute an optimized fit for any customer, on any bike, in any discipline.
The Three Days
- Day 1, TT & Road: dynamic fit fundamentals, the four fit coordinates, self-selection trials across seat angles, TT-specific aerobar fit
- Day 2, Gravel & Mountain: how off-road changes the fit equation, saddle and cockpit setup for variable terrain, real-bike practice
- Day 3, Cleats & Front End: cleat positioning, cockpit detailing, translating fit specs to complete bikes, plus setting up your fit business
Your Instructor
Ian Murray, Master Fitter. Ian teaches fit at both the Fit Institute Slowtwitch and the GURU Academy. He is a USAT Level 3 coach, served as Head Coach of the U.S. Youth Olympic triathlon team, led USA Triathlon’s Coaching Education department for a decade, and was named the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Development Coach of the Year.
Tuition & What’s Included
Tuition is $1,895 all-in: three days of instruction, all course materials, hands-on fit station access, and your certificate of completion. Travel, hotel and meals are on you, and hotel recommendations come with your registration confirmation. We keep a stable of gravel bikes for the daily rides, so you don’t need to bring a bike.
Payment: $495 today reserves your seat. The remaining $1,400 is due 30 days before your class date, and we send a payment reminder with a direct link. Cancellation: more than 60 days out, full refund minus a $95 processing fee. 30 to 60 days out, deposit is forfeited. Inside 30 days, tuition is forfeited. In most cases we can transfer your registration to a future workshop instead, just write us.
